Securing Infrastructure in the Real & Digital Worlds – the Physical, Personnel & Cyber Security Challenges

The attacks in Manchester and London have shown that we need to consider security in all aspects of our work. This very visual presentation will be given by a specialist UK Government Security Engineer and will illustrate a range of protective security challenges for Engineers and other construction professionals, particularly those emanating from malicious threats including terrorism.

It will illustrate the traditional and innovative solutions and how such measures can be blended into the environment.

It will cover the new Engineering Council guidance on security for all Engineers (engc.org.uk/security) and how security-mindedness can be applied to the infrastructure design process without stifling innovation or reducing the collaboration benefits of BIM (referring to the principles of PAS 1192 Part 5).
