Tackling Modern Slavery in Construction

Constructing Excellence Berkshire and CIOB Joint Event

Following on from the CIOB reports Modern Slavery: The Dark Side of Construction  and Building a Fairer System: Tackling Modern Slavery in Construction Supply Chains our speakers will look at the what progress has been made by our sector and the steps we can take to tackle the issue.

There are an estimated 45 million enslaved people globally with modern slavery reported in 167 countries.

18th October is Anti-Slavery Day - the day provides an opportunity to raise awareness of human trafficking and modern slavery, and encourage government, local authorities, companies, charities and individuals to do what they can to address the problem
